961 McGill, a club at McGill University, is committed to uniting the Lebanese community in Montreal through a variety of events. Our goal is to establish a robust network where McGill students can engage with each other and connect with prominent professionals from diverse fields in Montreal. These events ranging from cultural exchanges to professional networking opportunities and fundraising activities, offer a unique platform for fostering meaningful relationships and contributing significantly to personal and professional growth within the Lebanese diaspora. While our focus is on the Lebanese community, we warmly welcome members from all backgrounds to join us in this enriching experience.

Black Varsity Association

The Black Varsity Association (BVA) is a student-led initiative dedicated to ensuring the well-being and success of all Black student-athletes at McGill University through event planning, community engagement, and the development of diverse programs and opportunities.

We work to ensure that the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion are upheld at McGill University, and hold the McGill Athletics Department accountable by supporting the recommendations made by the McGill Athletics Anti-Black Racism Committee (MAABRC).

Though we are a central point of contact for Black student-athletes, we strongly encourage all interested students, regardless of race or varsity status, to participate in our events!

Canadian Nursing Students Association (CNSA)

The Canadian Nursing Students’ Association (CNSA) is the national voice of Canadian nursing students. Our goal is to increase the legal, ethical, professional, and educational aspects which are an integral part of nursing. CNSA is actively dedicated to the positive promotion of nurses and the nursing profession as a whole.

The McGill Francophone Debate Club is a parliamentary debate club that organizes weekly practices and participates in provincial and national tournaments.
Open to all, the club is an inclusive space that brings together participants of all levels, from learning French to bilingual. It is an excellent place to get to know the McGill francophone community better and to improve your speaking skills and critical thinking. Training is offered throughout the year. It is therefore possible to join the club at any time.

Commodity Trading Group

The McGill Commodities Trading Group introduces students to the world of physical and derivative commodity markets, from energy and metals to agriculture and carbon credits. Our mission is to provide hands-on learning, industry insights, and networking opportunities for those interested in trading, strategy, risk management, and research.

ConnectUs McGill Students

ConnectUs (CU) is a student-led consulting club dedicated to bridging the gap between McGill students and local businesses and nonprofits. By partnering with these organizations, CU offers pro bono consulting support to help tackle real-world challenges, while providing students with hands-on experience, mentorship opportunities, and community-focused networking. With a strong emphasis on experiential case studies, our goal as a club is to combine learning and professional growth by working directly with organizations in need of strategic assistance.

Discussion Collective, McGill Students’ (MSDC)

The Club’s mandate shall be to: 2.1.1. Organize discussion forums where people of varying beliefs can meet and exchange views on prescient topics. 2.1.2. Organize talks with interesting speakers to give students the opportunity to engage with experts on a variety of topics. 2.1.3. Provide information about the method of the Socratic dialectic, a powerful framework by which ideas can be discussed and tested using reason.

Enactus McGill

Enactus McGill is a student-led organization that empowers McGill students to use entrepreneurial action to create meaningful social impact. Through hands-on projects that address real-world challenges, from sustainability to community development, our members apply innovative thinking to drive change both locally and globally. We provide students with the tools, mentorship, and platform to develop socially responsible initiatives while gaining leadership and project management experience. Whether you’re passionate about business, social justice, or simply want to make a difference, Enactus offers a dynamic and collaborative environment to turn ideas into action.

Open to all students, ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) McGill is focused on improving members’ financial literacy skills while exploring how market-based solutions can help mitigate social and climate issues. Global China Connection (GCC)

Global China Connection (GCC) is a student-run non-profit organization that helps develop deep and trusting personal relationships between young leaders. GCC network currently consists of more than 60 university chapters around the world, and GCC McGill is one of the leading chapters in Canada. GCC McGill is committed to building a multicultural and interacting community by organizing a variety of activities including delegations of university students, social and professional events, panels, and more. Health Occupation Students of America McGill (HOSA)

The goal of our chapter is to financially support McGill students wishing to attend the HOSA Canada Fall (online) and Spring (in Toronto) Leadership Conferences, where they will compete in a healthcare related event of their choosing. The mission of HOSA Canada is to enable secondary and postsecondary students to become leaders in the healthcare industry by enabling future health professionals to acquire knowledge, skills training, and leadership development through competition!

McGill iGEM is a student-run organization dedicated to bringing forth innovative ideas from the lab to the marketplace, and was started to allow students to experience the entire research cycle from ideation to experimentation to commercialization.

Junior Hong Kong Business Association

The Junior Hong Kong Canada Business Association is a student association at McGill University that promotes the business collaboration between Canada and Hong Kong and fosters leadership and business skills among students. We are the junior chapter of Hong Kong Canada Business Association (HKCBA), one of the largest bilateral trade associations in Canada.

Lettuce Club

At Lettuce Club McGill, all members meet once a year and will have 10 minutes to eat an entire head of lettuce. Whoever eats the lettuce the fastest is dubbed the Head of Lettuce and organizes the meeting the following year.

McGill Biomechanics Club

McGill Biomechanics Club innovates medical solutions that help others, by building skills and knowledge through practical experience in biomechanical projects, workshops and events. By combining both practical and social experiences, we aim to teach people more about biomechanics while also helping them to build a social and professional network.

McGill Debating Union

The McGill Debating Union is one of the oldest and top university debating societies in the world. We compete regularly at tournaments across Canada and the US! We’re always welcoming new members, no experience necessary.

McGill Eloquence

McGill Eloquence is a francophone student-run club offering free workshops throughout the academic year to develop public speaking skills. Additionally, an annual competition is held, with professional juries comprising lawyers, teachers, and professors. The club is open to anyone studying at McGill University who is interested in public speaking in French, whether you want to participate or simply watch. McGill International Students Network (MISN)

The McGill International Student Network is an orgaMcto Montreal and McGill! The McGill Pre-Law Students’ Society (MPLSS) is an organization run by aspiring law students, for aspiring law students. As a Students’ Society of McGill University (É«½ç°É) club, we provide invaluable law-related opportunities and network support for students. The MPLSS also oversees two undergraduate competition teams – the Mock Trial and Moot Court teams – as well as the McGill Undergraduate Law Review Journal.

McGill Respiratory Wellness Initiative

The McGill Respiratory Wellness Initiative is a student-led organization dedicated to improving respiratory health awareness across the McGill community and the greater Montreal area. We aim to educate students on the causes, risks, symptoms, and treatments of common acute and chronic respiratory illnesses through evidence-based workshops, campaigns, guest speakers, and accessible educational materials. Our group also engages in community outreach, volunteering with local healthcare providers and supporting related health-focused organizations. By empowering students with knowledge and actionable tools, we hope to reduce preventable respiratory complications and foster a healthier, better-informed campus community.

As the McGill Entrepreneurship Society, we believe that anyone can become an entrepreneur with the right support, and that’s exactly what we provide. In the past, entering the competitive world of management consulting had been the exclusive privilege of business school graduates. However consulting firms have recently started recruiting Ph.D.s in order to increase their depth of expertise in various specialized industries. In the face of dwindling employment prospects in both academia and industry, management consulting offers an exciting career opportunity for graduate students who wish to apply their analytical and critical thinking skills to achieve a real-world impact. With this in mind, we created the McGill Graduate Management Consulting Association (McGill GMCA). Our goal is to provide exceptional graduate students and post-doctoral trainees with the training and resources necessary to enter and to excel in the competitive world of management consulting. Throughout the year, we will offer a number of events, including consulting firm information sessions, educational training sessions, case workshops led by consultants from Montreal’s top firms, networking opportunities, as well as various opportunities to test and improve your skills in case competitions!

McHacks – Hacks at Students’ Society of McGill University

McHacks is a student-led group that organizes the largest hackathon at McGill University. Through the annual hackathon held in January, McHacks aims to promote hacker culture and bring together undergraduate and graduate students and provide them with networking opportunities and a chance to compete for exceptional prizes provided by our sponsors. McHacks is associated with Major League Hacking [MLH] and is free for all students who pass the application process. We aim to open doors for students of all ages. Medical Perspectives (MedSpecs)

Medical Perspectives (MedSpecs) is a McGill undergraduate organization that maintains a supportive community for students who are curious about medical careers to access information, exchange ideas, and gain experience first-hand.

Research and Sustainability Network

The Research and Sustainability Network (RSN) seeks to inform and empower students at McGill, bridging the gap between researchers in sustainability and undergraduates interested in research. Through recurring conferences, speaker series, and networking events, we aim to connect like-minded individuals within a cross-faculty network, facilitating collaboration and increasing accessibility to undergraduate research positions.

Socratic Discussion Club

The Socratic Discussion Club brings together McGill students who are interested in meeting people to discuss ideas, gain knowledge, and take part in thought-provoking events. We are the first and only student organization at McGill University that seeks to bring people of diverse views together to share ideas on various topics, ranging from philosophy to politics to economics and others. Student Research Initiative (SRI)

SRI is a student-led organization that aims to help undergraduate students become more involved in research through informative seminars, networking events, mentorship programs, and more.

Students Offering Support (SOS)

Students Offering Support (SOS) is a national student-led charity made up of a network of student volunteers working through university chapters to coordinate and teach Exam-AID’s (group review sessions prior to midterms/finals for first and second year courses). SOS charges a $20 donation for students to attend our sessions and at the end of each year, all the money raised by an SOS chapter is spent on an educational sustainable development project in a Latin American country. These projects are not only funded by SOS, but they are also planned and built by SOS volunteers through an annual outreach trip. This full-circle experience provides volunteers an experience to see the direct impact they can have on their community as well as in marginalized communities around the world.

TWN McGill is a student-led collegiate women’s networking organization that focuses on empowering and connecting ambitious women and non-binary people to each other and to leaders across many industries. TWN is dedicated to providing young, ambitious students with valuable networking opportunities. We are part of a larger organization of over 120 chapters all over North America and now Europe. We hold a variety of events: speaker panels, networking sessions, workshops, but also some relaxing events such as paint and sips, outdoor activities and so on. Joining TWN is a great way to expand your network, gain exposure to different industries, build confidence, find career opportunities, and meet other ambitious people.
