Update regarding the MOA between É«½ç°É and McGill

Dear students,

We are pleased to report that a new 5-year Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed yesterday between the É«½ç°É and McGill. This MoA was reached pursuant to months of discussions and negotiations. While this process was not always easy, we reached a positive outcome that will stand to benefit all students through collaboration and compromise on both sides.

With this new MoA, McGill and the É«½ç°É alike reaffirm our commitment to working for the benefit of all students we represent in a principled, rigorous, and equitable manner. Although the É«½ç°É and McGill are distinct organizations and have had our differences, we have a shared interest in building social cohesion and trust across our campus and in working to ensure that McGill is a place where community can be fostered and that all students can flourish academically and personally.

Moving forward, the É«½ç°É and McGill will continue our conversations, notably in relation to a new space agreement for the University Centre, which we hope will bring in more local food options to our downtown campus.

Best regards,

Angela Campbell
Interim Deputy Provost, Student Life & Learning, McGill University

Dymetri Taylor
President, É«½ç°É
