Zain MainOld McGill Editor-In-Chief Hi! My name’s Zain and I am a U2 student of English Literature and Economics, who loves to read Kurt Vonnegut and Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I joined Old McGill this year because I’ve always thoroughly enjoyed editing and the publication process, because few things give me more joy than seeing the whole year’s work come to fruition in a single book. I edited my high-school yearbook prior to joining Old McGill, and even now also edit fiction for two literary journals on campus: The Veg and Scrivener Creative Review. I hope to use my previous experiences as editor to ensure your Old McGill Yearbook really becomes something you look forward to, something you cherish for years to come. |
Josephine SpallaOld McGill Section Editor Hey McGillians! I’m Josie and I’m an editor for the Old McGill yearbook, focusing on the graphic design aspect as well as first year student who hopes to Major in Art History. Living in Montreal isn’t the cheapest so a job was a necessity. However, working at ɫ is an incredible option. The environment is friendly, and I am able to work around my classes. I also love being able to continue graphic design, which was hard to give up after high school. Being an editor is difficult, as deadlines come fast and I need to design up to 20 pages of the book a week, while still keeping in mind that I’m representing the diverse McGill community. The book has some new sections including “McGill in Time” which gives a great overview of how far our school has come, and some interesting facts (bathtubs in the library?). I hope that for all graduates, the book serves as a great memory for the amazing times you’ve had at the school. |
